Tips For Your First Date
Even through first dates can bring high anxiety. They’re actually extremely important!
Maybe that’s why a lot of these guys would rather netflix & chill instead of setting up a proper date. *rolls eyes*
Figuring out what you’re going to ask can become super stressful. You don’t want to ask too much, but you want to ask the right questions. You definitely don’t want to come off boring by asking the basic questions, i.e what’s your sign or what’s your favorite color.
Let’s leave those questions in 2019 please!
All of these emotions come with the approach of the first date because, you want to make a good impression. While still getting to know this person. A first date can lead to the start of a friendship, relationship or being ghosted.
But I don’t want you getting ghosted. I want you to be memorable and get the man you deserve!
So here are a few questions that will set the vibe for the date, and answer a lot of questions that are on your mind:
What are your pet peeves?
It’s always important to find out what he dislikes. So you don’t do that shit by accident. This is also a good way to see if your dislikes and likes are similar.
What is your passion? What type of work do you want to do? Are you doing it or working towards it?
Not everyone will know what their passions are. Some men don’t even know what they want out of life yet. Which is fine. This question could give him the motivation to work harder to figure out his passion. Or if he knows what his passion is, this will open the conversation to him expressing what he loves. This brings vulnerability. It’s important to know each other’s dreams and goals. So you could build each other up.
Where do you see yourself in 2-5 years?
Find out those short and long term goals girl! Trust me it will save you a lot of stress.
What’s a misconception other’s often have of you?
Get a sneak peak to how his close ones view him before you find out yourself.
What have you changed about yourself this year?
This question will help you figure out if he’s aware of his past and present. Also if he’s intuned with himself.
Do you make your bed everyday?
It seems so small. But studies show that you can tell if a person is lazy or productive from the way they make their bed. It shows their personality and what they are comfortable in.

Brunch or Dinner?
I’m a brunch girl so this question is really important for me. I need to know if you’re going to wake up with me at noon to go drink mimosa’s.
Football or Basketball?
He’ll end up telling you his favorite team. Which is just bonus points for you, just remember what team he tells you.
What makes you happy?
This question requires thought and truth. This question will help you figure out if you can make this person happy or if you even want to.
Who do you trust more your family or your homeboys ?
This question can get a little deep. But you’ll have a better understanding of how he was raised. Also, the type of man he is. I’m sorry but if he trusts friends over family. He might have to go.
Are you adventurous or a homebody?
It’s good to know if you two are on the same vibe level. I’m adventurous so I couldn’t be with a homebody, he’ll bore me.
Liquor or beer?
Listen, you’ll want to find out if he’s an alcoholic sooner than later. If he gets hyped when answering this question. Take caution, men love hiding behind liquor.
